Middle East to Spend $1.4 Billion for Air Pollution Control in 2013
Middle Eastern countries will spend $1.4 billion in 2013 for air pollution control equipment, consumables and instrumentation. This is the conclusion reached in the McIlvaine report Air Pollution Management. Analysis of specific equipment types is derived from a number of other McIlvaine reports.

More money will be spent for fabric filters than any other category. These filters are used in cement plants and many other industries. Scrubbers, adsorbers and thermal oxidizers are used in refining and oil and gas extraction.
Flue gas desulfurization expenditures will be primarily in Turkey where there is a concentration of coal-fired power.
