BIO: Patrick is an Account Manager for Haldor Topsoe responsible for sulfuric acid catalyst and technology sales. He has been at Topsoe for 12 years. Prior to joining Topsoe, he worked 12 years in the phosphate fertilizer/sulfuric acid industry. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering and a MS in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida.
ABSTRACT: Haldor Topsoe’s WSA and SNOX processes are proven technologies for treating flue gases or other sulfur containing waste streams. The processes are exothermic and produce a marketable, commercial grade sulfuric acid by-product. The energy efficiency of the process improves with an increasing SO2 concentration in the flue gas allowing high sulfur coal or petcoke to be used.
ROBERT TANG – CEFCO GLOBAL CLEAN ENERGY, LLC

BIO: Robert E. Tang is the Chief Executive Officer of CEFCO Global Clean Energy, LLC, and is a co-inventor of the CEFCO Process. He also serves on the Board of Directors of several major specialty engineering and construction companies, one of which has great emphasis and experience in the utility power industry and air pollution control (AQCS) industry, and the other is in the petro-chemical and refining industry. Tang led the five CEFCO co-inventors to apply and obtain the issued CEFCO Process Patent #7,842,264 from the US Patent and Trademark Office on Nov. 30, 2010. International patents under the same title were issued by major industrial countries, including by China, Russia, Australia and many others. In 2012, Tang invented and applied for another patent under the title: “Process and Apparatus for Supersonic Collision Shockwave Reaction Mechanism for Making Chemical Compounds”. This patent-pending technology is the process of using supersonic shockwave collision of reactant-chemicals to generate the necessary energy and pressure to convert the reactants into desirable “end-product chemicals”, such as starting from the industrially captured CO2 gas together with added chemicals into alkanes, alkenes and aromatics to make renewable bio-fuels. This technology is receiving attentive audience in the chemical industry. Tang received his B.A. from Columbia University in 1971 and two advanced graduate degrees from Oxford University in England in 1973 and 1979.

ABSTRACT: "Components of Flue Gas can be separately captured and converted into higher-valued and very sellable end-products by the CEFCO Process. For examples: Recovered Metals for Metal Refiners + Potassium Sulfate Fertilizer and Potassium Nitrate Fertilizer for the Chemical and Agricultural Markets, instead of becoming lower-valued Acids, Gypsum or disposable Sodium or Calcium Salts. This is a "economic paradigm-shift concept" because CAPEX and OPEX can be recovered by technology users in performing cost-efficient pollution control while complying with MACT, CAIR and NSPS standards. Under the CEFCO shockwave reaction condition, the act of pollution capture using the appropriate reagent within the shockwave itself becomes the act of converting the targeted pollutants into valuable products in a continuing production process without the commingling with trace toxic metals and fine particulates."
