Michael Walsh - Marsulex

Mr. Walsh received his Bachelor’s Degree Magna Cum Laude in Civil Engineering in 1975 from the University of Dayton.  In 1987, he received his Master’s Degree in Industrial Administration from Purdue University and he took additional graduate credits in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University.  He is registered to practice engineering in 20 states. After graduation from the University of Dayton, Mr. Walsh went to work for Gannett, Fleming in Harrisburg as a bridge design engineer and worked with a team that designed the I-83 Update thru Harrisburg including the John Harris river bridge and the Light Rail Rapid Transit system in Buffalo, NY.

Following those projects in 1978, Mr. Walsh went to work for GE Environmental Services in Lebanon as a development engineer in the air pollution control field.   He continues to work for the successor company today which is Marsulex Environmental Services.  He has held numerous management positions and today he serves as the Vice President of Engineering.  He has executed air pollution control projects totaling over $1 billion in 20 countries.

David McKissock – Hadek Protective Systems

David McKissock is Business Development Manager of Hadek Protective Systems, a leading supplier of internal lining systems for power plant flue gas ducts and chimneys. David McKissock has been involved in the design and application of lining systems for new and existing power station chimneys, with emphasis on borosilicate glass block lining systems. In addition to his work on specific projects, David has been closely involved in technical studies and test programs in this field. Before joining Hadek Protective Systems, David gained experience in design and installation in the HVAC and process engineering industries.

Clair Guess – Augusta Fiberglass

St. Clair P. Guess, III has been the Marketing Director for Augusta Fiberglass for the past 16 years, he is a member of the ASME and worked for four years on the RTP-1 Standard prior to its publication and has vast experience in field applications of FRP in a variety of settings.

Ronald Richard – RE Consulting

Ron is a chemical engineer that has retired from a major utility after working in power stations for 32 years.  He is now an independent consultant.  He has been involved in the design, construction and operation of FGD systems since 1980.  He has served on various EPRI FGD committees and has presented numerous papers at various conferences.  He is a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and has served as the Co-Chairperson for the last two AIRPOL conferences.
