Serbian 2x350-MW Kostolac B to Add FGD

The Chinese company China National Machinery and Equipment Import & Export (CMEC) and the Kostolac thermal power station signed a deal for the first stage of the 2x350-MW Kostolac B project, worth US$344 million. Serbia Minister Skundric said that the deal includes rehabbing the first and second blocks of the Kostolac B power plant, the purchase of FGD equipment and construction of infrastructure. Elektroprivreda Srbije Director Dragomir Markovic pointed out that China Eximbank is expected to approve a loan for the realization of the project in the next two to three months.
