B&V and Chiyoda Renew Agreement

B&V has renewed its exclusive licensing agreement with Chiyoda Corporation for Chiyoda’s CT-121™ (Thoroughbred 121) wet FGD technology. Black & Veatch has been the sole engineering company licensee in North America since 2001 for this process developed by Chiyoda.

B&V is installing CT-121™ scrubber systems in 18 power stations that generate a total of approximately 9900 MW. In total, CT-121™ scrubbers are currently being installed on approximately 35 generating units in North America.
