Mitsui Babcock to Supply Boosted OFA to Cottam and Drax

Mitsui Babcock has received NO_x reduction contracts in the U.K. worth a combined £14 million ($25 million). The contracts include a £9.4 million contract at EDF Energy's Cottam power station, further contracts at Drax power station and at Didcot power station. Kevin Akhurst, Managing Director Generation and Renewables, RWE npower, said: "We see Mitsui Babcock's FD OFA technology as crucial to enabling us to meet EA regulatory framework BAT objectives for NO_x limits in 2008 and beyond."
