MidAmerican Plans SO₂ and NO_x Control at PacifiCorp Plants

In testimony filed with regulators in the six states where PacifiCorp operates, Greg Abel, president of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, said, "MidAmerican is poised to deploy significant amounts of capital to ensure PacifiCorp can develop and maintain the infrastructure needed to provide reliable and economic electric service." In his filed testimony, Abel outlined a series of specific commitments including installing pollution controls at PacifiCorp plants in Utah, Wyoming and Arizona to substantially reduce emissions of SO₂, NO_x and other pollutants.
