New GE Dry Low NOx Combustion System for GE 10-2 Turbine
GE Energy has launched a new Dry Low NOx combustion system that will reduce NOx emissions from 25 to 15 ppm for its 12-MW class GE 10-2 gas turbine. The power company guaranteed the 15 ppm NOx emissions level over operating conditions spanning 50-100 percent of load and an ambient temperature range of -29° to +38°C. The new combustion chamber includes four GE5 premixed pilot burners, a flame detector, flashback thermocouples and a humming detection system for flame control. GE confirmed that users of existing GE 10-2 gas turbines with NOx emissions of 25 ppm will be able to upgrade to the new 15 ppm system.
