Metso Mills for FGD Applications

Metso Minerals (York, PA) offers both ball mills and VERTIMILLS™ for limestone grinding and lime slaking applications. Metso has supplied over 240 grinding systems for FGD applica­tions. 

Metso’s traditional horizontal ball mill produces a consistent and highly reliable product within a closed circuit. The VERTIMILL™ provides an efficient alternative with up to 30 percent energy savings, lower installation and operating costs, and reduced noise levels. Metso also provides control circuits which control the delivery of ground limestone slurry, on demand, to the product slurry tank from one or more grinding mills.
