Marsulex Annual Report

Marsulex reported 2002 revenues of $138 million which is down from $236 million in 2001. The net loss was $7.7 million compared to a $63 million profit in 2001. However, in both years there were unusual items. Power Generation revenues were $15 million down from $51 million in 2001 reflecting the completion of the Virginia Power Project and the holding pattern for Santee Cooper. The company is optimistic that when the financing environment improves the Santee Cooper project will proceed. In addition to ammonium sulfate scrubber systems, a solution to SO₃ is also being offered. Refinery and oil sands scrubber systems supplement the power efforts.
