Delaware May Regulate HCl Emissions

Delaware regulators are exploring ways to curb pollution including HCl at larger power plants.  Targets of the study include both the Conectiv Delmarva Generation Inc.'s Edgemoor power plant east of Wilmington and the NRG Indian River generating complex near Millsboro. The Indian River plant ranks among the nation's top 100 sources of hydrochloric acid releases to the air and is a significant source of mercury and other pollutants.
