Bayou Steel Orders Ladle System

Bayou Steel Corp. has issued an order to Danieli Corp. for the turnkey supply of an 83-ton capacity ladle metallurgical facility. The facility will be installed in the existing meltshop at Bayou Steel. The supply includes the ladle furnace equipment and control system, all platforms and foundations and a baghouse system. Construction engineering is being supplied by Continental Design and Management Group, Inc. and construction services are being provided by McIntosh Mechanical, Inc. The facility will be operational in April 1999. The project is being handled jointly by Danieli ControMet USA and Danieli Automation USA.
