Inventec Acquires New Plant for
Servers in Taiwan
Inventec has invested NT$1.18 billion
(US$37.78 million) to acquire a new plant in Taoyuan, Taiwan to expand its
capacity locally, according to a company posting on Taiwan Stock Exchange
(TWSE).
The new facility reportedly will be used
mainly for manufacturing server products.
Earlier this year, Inventec also announced it
would spend NT$2 billion to establish new warehouses, inspection equipment and
assembly lines at its notebook manufacturing plants also in Taoyuan, looking to
boost its Taiwan capacity to supply 30% of its overall notebook orders.
