Singapore Waste to Energy and Incineration

 

Singapore's publicly owned environmental agency (NEA) handles waste management. Estimates are that 92% of waste is converted to energy. They have at least 5 WTE facilities including the most recent project completed by Singapore based Keppel Engineering.

Project Type: 25-year Design-Build-Own-Operate (DBOO) contract. First incineration plant awarded under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative by NEA.
Plant Capacity:
 
800 tonnes of solid waste per day to generate more than 20MW of green energy.
Key Features: In-house technology such as the air-cooled tumbling grates, boiler, rotary atomiser and flue gas treatment system.
Modular, space-saving compact design with energy saving features.
