How does it work?

Step 1

You have instant online access to detailed analyses and forecasts for each of more than 30 industries including growth rates in each country through the next 5 years. This data is harnessed in a database with production percentage and capital investment growth numbers in each industry for each country. For some industries, there are also capacity growth projections (megawatts, millions of gallons per day, tons per day, cubic feet etc).

For some industries there are forecasts of numbers of employees, square feet of space occupied, capital investment, operating costs, and depreciation. There are also country forecasts for relevant data such as GDP and population.

If you do not want to use the single industry approach but want to directly forecast country revenues for your products, you can use a surrogate product program instead of the industry program. For example, a program with the forecasts of pump sales in each country can be utilized for any product whose sales would be directly related e.g. piping, couplings, etc.

Step l in the process is to select a program or programs for the products you wish to forecast.

Step 2

Revenues for a number of surrogate products are provided. These revenue values may be only for a specific country in a specific year. In some cases these numbers can be employed without change. In others you must derive a revenue number for any year in any country in any of the subject industries using several tools available.

Step 2 is selection of a revenue number for a single country in any year for the selected industry if using the single industry approach. Alternatively you can select total revenues for all industries in s specific country in any year if you are using the surrogate product approach.

Step 3

You insert the revenue number for one country in one year into the program and view a display of future revenues in each country for that industry or application. So you may insert the revenue for the U.S. in 2004 and then view the revenues for Taiwan in 2008.
