Asia Leading Growth in Indoor Air Filter Market; Americas Holding on to Largest Share of Market  

Northfield, IL (The McIlvaine Company) - The total worldwide market for indoor air filters will rise almost 22 percent by 2012, to over U.S. $7.7 billion.  In the online report, Air Filtration and Purification World Markets, the McIlvaine Company forecasts indoor air filter revenues for all the World Regions for the next several years.  The report predicts Asia will see the largest revenue growth, increasing 28.6 percent by 2012.

Driving the Asia region growth is the Electronics Industry, accounting for the largest percentage of indoor air filter revenue in Asia.  Worldwide, the Commercial/Institutional Industry claims the largest share of revenue for these filters.  Other industries included in the forecasts, along with market share, are Bioclean, Gas Turbine, Metals/Transportation, and Residential. 

The report’s forecast also includes revenue figures for filter classes G1-4, F5-9, H10-17 as well as Gas Phase and Electronic filters.

While Asia has the largest growth rate, the Americas is the region with the largest market share of total world revenues for indoor air filters. The Americas hold 39.3 percent of the market in 2008, and although will experience a slight loss of market share by 2012, this region will remain in first place with 38.3 percent of the total revenue.  Asia is in second position, and will continue to hold this position in 2012, but will gain a larger percentage of the market from both the Americas and Europe.
