This on line service combines the latest Alerts on new projects with the detailed information on the existing municipal wastewater plants in the U.S.  It is therefore equally valuable to those selling equipment for expansions or new plants and those selling consumables to the existing plants.

The database of existing plants is split in two segments. The information on the  4000 plants with flows in excess of more than 1 mgd representing 80% of the total capacity  are continually revised to include the latest contacts as well as details on the plant operations. Also included are complete plant descriptions and relevant articles about the plant operations. Where plant personnel have authored papers at WEF, the title of the paper is also provided .

The system is search friendly. You can search by equipment type e.g centrifuge or odor control. You can search by State or alphabetically by plant name.

Information on the remaining 12,000 plants with only 20% of the total treatment capacity is less comprehensive and is updated infrequently ( except for information on expansions)

The bi weekly “Updates” provides notification well in advance of expansion projects and new plant projects. Details such as the awards of preliminary design to consulting companies, scope of the proposed project, and budget are provided.  These updates are sent electronically and then are posted to the website for future retrieval by convenient search engines.. There is also a summary listing of all new projects.

The system is equally valuable to the individual sales people as it is to the marketing department.  There is a modest charge for additional users. So the local sales people can be provided with access and the home office can provide a monitoring function as opposed to the more burdensome distribution of the sales lead information.
