Insights of the Week

Food Manufacturing IIoT and Remote O&M Webinar:  Tomorrow we will be discussing the food industry and its need to invest in IIoT and take advantage of the remote O&M potential.  Over 120 slides will be quickly displayed but not discussed.  They include overviews of the market and rankings of top food companies.  Successful installations of software and components in various food plants will be included.  An extensive analysis of ConAgra indicates the combust, flow, and treat products and services used in the many ConAgra plants along with projections of capital expansions and details on regulations being faced at specific plants. Component improvements are used as examples of how process management systems need to incorporate ways to integrate new and better components.

We will show examples of the new program to forecast all the purchases at each major prospect.

Pulp and Paper IIoT and Remote O&M - August 23 Flow and Treat companies such as Andritz, Solenis, Kemira and others are already remotely monitoring and providing predictive maintenance for pulp and paper processing. The potential to expand and integrate these activities in open platform cloud based systems will be discussed.  A marketing program based upon the top 20 pulp and paper companies taking advantage of all the available digital communication tools will be explained.

Utility E Alert and Tracking System expanded to track the 100 Largest Coal Fired Generators

The top 100 coal fired power producers buy most of the combust, flow and treat products and services purchased by this generating sector.  As these producers, increasingly embrace IIoT and Remote Monitoring, their decisions will become more centralized.  At the same time the knowledge they gain about every component in their systems will make them much more skillful purchasers.  This means that the battles will be won and lost based on the actions of higher level people within the supplier companies and less by the actions of the salesmen or distributors.

The new need for supplier organizations is to identify the market opportunity at each of the large prospects and organize a high-level campaign to specifically target each one.  The McIlvaine program to accomplish this is explained at Marketing Program for Combust, Flow and Treat.

Detailed profiles of large coal fired purchasers are being posted to the Utility Tracking System.  In the case of BHE there is no profile because it is the beta site for the highest level of intelligence with an entire service devoted to its 200 generators and compressor stations.

The Tracking System and Alert can be used in conjunction with our market reports.   In the market reports we forecast the opportunity at each of the large generators.  With the profiles, project and plant information in the Tracking System the necessary marketing tools are in place.  Here are some sample forecasts for six of the purchasers. All figures shown are in $ millions.
