Subject: Limestone Size Reduction Issues To Be Discussed In McIlvaine “Hot Topic Hour” July 5

We are holding a web/phone "Hot Topic Hour" on limestone grinding on July 5.  This 1-2 hour discussion will include experts from the companies supplying the equipment and the stone.  Some of the questions which will be addressed in the general discussion are shown below:

July 5, 2007

9:00 a.m. CDT

Limestone Size Reduction

·                    Is wet or dry grinding the better route?

·                    How much of the size reduction should be done at the plant and how much by

the limestone supplier?

·                    Does it make sense to have regional grinding facilities?

·                    Do you need redundant mills?

·                    How do you maintain control of particle size and output?

·                    Will there be enough mills to supply the FGD systems being built around the

world in addition to all the new cement plants?

·                    Which suppliers have experience and what do they offer?

·                    Should less experienced companies be allowed to bid?

·                    Should suppliers be allowed to quote turnkey systems instead of just

equipment in order to encourage fabrication in the largest segments and

therefore obtain the lowest installed cost?

·                     Should you grind smaller or just add more slurry to achieve a given removal

efficiency?

·                    At what point does the increased cost of grinding exceed the alternative

route?

On July 12 we will be holding two sessions related to CEMS.  In the morning, we will be discussing measurement of SO3 ammonia and NOx at low levels.  In the afternoon, we will discuss the remaining issues in measurement of mercury.  There is so much interest in discussion of mercury measurement that we are going to schedule discussions bimonthly.
