Lawrence Planning New $80 Million WWTP
Lawrence City commissioners are scheduled to advance plans for a new wastewater treatment plant on the Wakarusa River by issuing a request for proposals to engineering firms interested in designing the facility.

Nantucket Sewer Funding $35 Million Upgrade for Surfside WWTP

Sponsors of a funding proposal for changes to the Surfside Wastewater Treatment Plant have offered a cost breakdown for the project. The $35.5 million upgrade, actually priced at $43.7 million including the debt service, would be split between the cost of the upgrade and the expansion cost, according to the plan offered by Selectman Finn Murphy and former selectman Matt Fee.

Phase III Started for Otsego’s East WWTP

Phase three has begun on Otsego’s East Side Wastewater Treatment Facility. When it is completed one year from now, it will increase the capacity to one mgd. The plant is currently at 400,000-gallons-a-day capacity.

 

Seacoast Communities Considering Plant Upgrade
How will Seacoast communities address their growing sewage needs in an environmentally sound and cost efficient manner? Proposals now being evaluated suggest upgrading existing treatment plants, building a new regional wastewater treatment facility or going with the alternative of a regional sewage outfall pipe.
