$80 Million WWTP
Lawrence City commissioners are 
scheduled to advance plans for a new wastewater treatment plant on the Wakarusa 
River by issuing a request for proposals to engineering firms interested in 
designing the facility. 
The project is expected to be one of the larger projects in the city's history, with a price tag upward of $80 million
Nantucket Sewer Funding $35 Million Upgrade for Surfside WWTP
Sponsors of a funding proposal for changes to the Surfside Wastewater Treatment Plant have offered a cost breakdown for the project. The $35.5 million upgrade, actually priced at $43.7 million including the debt service, would be split between the cost of the upgrade and the expansion cost, according to the plan offered by Selectman Finn Murphy and former selectman Matt Fee.

manner? Proposals now being evaluated suggest upgrading existing treatment
