US Housing Starts Fall 10.8 percent in March
New US residential building fell by 10.8 percent in March, after a surprise surge the month before. Starts were at an adjusted annual rate of construction of 510,000, commerce department figures showed. The decline was due to a big drop in construction of multi-family homes. Canadian Housing Starts Jump in March
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation said starts increased in March by 13.7 percent, or 154,700 new units when one-month figures are stretched over a full year .
