UF/MF wastewater forecast

Sales of membrane bioreactors are growing at double-digit rates. There has been a boom in membrane filtration of drinking water around the world. McIlvaine is not only forecasting revenues in membrane areas, but also the flow in million gallons per day for both municipal water and wastewater applications, in each of 80 countries and sub regions. Here are the 2004 and 2005 MGD wastewater membrane forecasts for NAFTA:

Canada will be using membrane bioreactors or other UF/MF treatment on over five percent of the sewage waste and totaling over 203 MGD by 2005. In the U.S. the increase in membrane wastewater filtration will be over 300 MGD next year.
