The Hot Topic Hour for April 9, 2009 Will Focus On

Metering Pumps for Fossil Fueled Power Plants

Metering pumps are widely used throughout the modern power plant to control chemical additives for boiler and wastewater treatment as well as chemicals added to combustion gases to minimize corrosion and reduce air pollutants.  There is not a single magic pump suitable for all of these diverse applications.  So which pump is best for each application?  After considering life cycle cost and maintenance, what else do we need to consider when we specify a metering pump?

The following speakers will discuss the applications for metering pumps in power plants and tell us how to select and specify a pump for these applications.

Jeff Ives, Sales Manager, Eastern U.S. for Milton Roy Americas will discuss why selecting and applying metering pumps for power plant applications requires careful consideration of fluid properties.  Careful pump selection as well as piping installation design guidance can greatly improve reliability for these services within power plants.  He will address specific applications and provide information to assist in improving reliability.

Allen Daniszewski, National Sales Manager, Industrial Products for SPX Process Equipment, Delavan Operations.

We have two more speaker slots available.  If you would like to volunteer or recommend a speaker, please contact us.
