Let’s talk about the headlines in yellow. Under the heading “Cement Plants have to move forward to meet the 2013 MACT deadline” is coverage of the McIlvaine Cement MACT webinar with access to the recording and to the power points by the four speakers: Karl Wilber of Tekran, Dan Keitzer of Sick Maihak, Ron Landreth of Albermarle and Bob McIlvaine of McIlvaine. The recording by Karl has also been posted to YouTube. To check this out go to the YouTube site and enter “Cement MACT”. Karl’s presentations (in three parts) are the first three displays under this query.
The second headline dealing with the upcoming “PCA IEEE Technical Conference” provides lots of details on an important program coming up in St. Louis in May.
The third headline deals with a contract to install SO2 scrubbers in Thailand. The U.S. is a leader in mercury control from cement plants but it can learn from Europe, South Korea and others when it comes to removing particulate from kilns. The fact that a developing country is installing SO2 scrubbers is significant.
