Colocation of filter plants to minimize delivery and inventory costs

Columbus Industries has co located two filter manufacturing plants. A new plant is l00 miles from the existing plant allowing customers to receive two different filter types on the same delivery truck

Since opening in May of 2005, the West Union Ohio  facility of Columbus Industries  manufactures filtration products used in HVAC and paint overspray collection, employing 100 area workers.

This facility, located in Southeastern Ohio, is approximately 100 miles from the company's Carroll, Ohio expanded paper paint overspray manufacturing facility. The close proximity of the plants allows customers to combine product shipments to receive both polyester filters and expanded paper overspray filters on the same delivery truck into their warehouses, thus providing freight savings and reduced inventory turns.
