Low NOx burners can play a big role in meeting NOx limits
without SCR or in conjunction with SNCR. Siemens takes a holistic in efficiency
improvement and NOx reduction. If the NOx limit is not met
with the ABT burner then SNCR can be included. Siemens has a new license from
Fuel Tech which allows them to integrate SNCR into the solution.

There is a high level of activity in Asia and high receptivity to the improved
design catalyst. Manufacturing innovations have resulted in substantial pitch
reductions. The result is higher efficiency per cubic meter of volume.

SNCR can be utilized in conjunction with other technologies including SCR. The
Fuel Tech urea-to-ammonia system is finding use in Europe. For example, a gas
turbine SCR operator located in an urban area did not want to subject residents
to the hazards of ammonia transport and opted for the urea-to-ammonia approach.
