The Lungstrom air heater design provides economy and efficiency which is hard to beat.  Air leakage can be reduced to five percent or less. Additional units with enameled surfaces are used for cooling at the scrubber inlet and reheat of flue gases after the scrubber. Axial fans are becoming a more popular choice than centrifugal fans not only in Europe but in the U.S. as well.
