The company works with the OEM to understand the needs of the product in use and then make recommendations.   Terry McKenna 2008 Interview Summary:   PPS has capture close to 90% of the fiber market for coal-fired boiler dust collectors. It will withstand temperatures to 375°F and is chemically resistant to both acidic and alkaline environments.  When first introduced, it was more expensive than Nomex but now is much less than Nomex (50-60%) and possibly only 1/3 the price of P84.
