Tam Phuc Flow Control Supplying Valves for Vietnamese Power Plants

Tam Phuc Flow Solutions Ltd., founded in 2005, provides flow control products and technical services (severe service) focus in the two key industries of Vietnam: Oil & Gas and Power.

It is the Vietnamese exclusive agent for IMI CCI Server Service Control Valves, GBA Flare Systems, and IMI Bopp & Reuther. In parallel, TFS has a long-term collaboration with partners such as OMB Valves, ESME, SMX International and others. Ho Hoan Vu is the Director.

Tam Phuc has supplied products to a number of large power plants being constructed in Vietnam. Details of some are provided below.

Song Hau -1

o   In April 2015, after long delays, Petrovietnam signed on Vietnamese company Lilama     Corporation as the plant’s engineering, procurement, & construction (EPC) contractor.     According to the contract, Unit 1 would be completed in Q2 2019, and Unit 2 in Q4 2019. Construction began in May 2015.

o   In early 2017, there were a number of news articles suggesting that the bidding process for various components of the plant (especially the flue-gas desulphurization system) were flawed, resulting in cheap and potentially faulty components being used.

Thai Binh 1

           Source of financing: VND 26,500 billion (US$1.16 billion), with 85% from Japan

            International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and 15% from EVN.

o   In May 2009, PetroVietnam and Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) began preparation work for the Thái B́nh power center, a 1,800-MW coal-fired power plant in Thái B́nh province. Electricity of Vietnam is building the two-unit, 600-MW Thái B́nh-1, while PetroVietnam is building the two-unit, 1,200-MW Thái B́nh-2.

 Mong Durong 1

o   In October 2011, after years of apparent delays, construction on Mông Dương-1 broke ground, with Hyundai Construction & Engineering, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, serving as engineering & construction contractor. The first unit went online in March 2015, and the second unit in October 2015... TFS supplied Steam Conditioning and Desuperheater system from CCI for both LP and HP circle for this project.

o  TFS supplies MRO services including a 2013 agreement for the MRO for the turbine bypass system for the Mon Duong 1 Power Plant – Unit 2 of EVN.
