| The US Department of Energy in conjunction with the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) published a comprehensive handbook of advanced carbon capture technologies for coal-based power systems in September 2010. The manual gives an overview of pre-combustion, post-combustion and oxy-combustion carbon capture processes, including solvent, sorbent and membrane based technologies. An appendix includes fact sheets and detailed information about each of over 70 government-funded R&D activities associated with carbon capture.
