| A 460-MW supercritical CFB unit under construction by Foster Wheeler in Lagisza, Poland, will be the largest CFB ever built. The supercritical steam conditions and larger generating capacity will improve the efficiency and economy of the CFB technology and make it more competitive with pulverized coal plants. Foster Wheeler also has a contract to construct a 330-MW supercritical CFB unit in Novocherkassk, Russia.
