Bio: Dr. Bin Xu is a senior boiler performance engineer of Doosan Babcock Energy America LLC, specializing in R&D in advanced supercritical boiler technologies including OxyCoal™ boiler technologies for CO2 capture. He was the principle investigator in a project developing 800 MWe ultra-supercritical boilers for USA market, the technical coordinator and lead engineer in a project investigating CO2 capture technology options for coal fired power plants in North America.
He is a chartered engineer and a member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK). He had a PhD degree in chemical engineering from Imperial College (London, UK) and a master degree in thermal engineering from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) |
