Universal Continuing Decision Process For: Doosan Babcock *

 

Doosan Babcock began investigating oxyfuel combustion technologies in 1992 and is currently engaged in a three-phase program to develop full plant applications post-2010. In Phase One, Doosan Babcock is working with RWE npower and E.On UK on bench-scale testing of oxyfuel combustion processes. For Phase Two, Doosan Babcock will modify its Multi-Fuel Burner Test Rig at its R&D facility in Renfrew, Scotland, to accommodate oxyfuel firing on pulverized coal. The upgrade of the burner test facility is expected to be complete in 2009.
