ABSTRACT: Achieving Near Zero Emissions via Oxy-Combustion
Praxair is developing a near-zero emissions oxy-combustion flue gas purification technology with the support from the US DOE. This technology will achieve reduction in atmospheric emissions of CO2 by 99%, SOx by 99%, NOx by >95% and mercury by >99% compared to a state of the art power plant operating in air-firing mode. This presentation will provide a brief overview of the process concept, potential benefits and the results from the small-scale tests conducted in Praxair labs. |
