BIO: Marc Cremer, Manager of Engineering Analysis with Reaction Engineering International, holds a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah and has twenty years experience in combustion analysis. His expertise lies in the analysis of turbulent reacting flows using computational fluid dynamic modeling and in the development and use of improved chemistry models within CFD simulations. In the power industry, his group has extensively used CFD based analysis to evaluate in-furnace and post combustion emissions and operational issues for coal, oil, and gas fired units. Particular problems have included control of NOx, sulfur, mercury, slagging, unburned carbon as well as waterwall corrosion. He has over seventy publications in this field. |
