As Director of Business Development for RMT’s SmartBurn® Technical Unit, Dana Maas is responsible for leading the organization's technical support for defining external customer requirements during the sales process, and helping to ensure that customer expectations are met by the SmartBurn® team. He also provides engineering support for RMT projects related to combustion improvement and systems analysis. Before serving as Business Development Manager for SmartBurn®, Dana Maas was SmartBurn®’s Engineering Manager with the responsibility for oversight of various design projects including overfire air systems, air flow measurements, validation and improvement testing, chemical injection systems as well as project roadmap development. Mr. Maas’ 23 years of experience have included project management, and designing engineering operations and environmental solutions for water treatment, steam generation, flue gas desulfurization, coal and ash handling, and gas/liquid separation. He has been involved in multi-million dollar process design projects to meet environmental requirements and compliance improvements conducive to plant operations. Mr. Maas has BS degrees in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics from the University of North Dakota – Fargo and MS degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of North Dakota – Grand Forks. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Nebraska, North Dakota, Wisconsin, New York and Colorado. |
