Title: Innovations in Dewatering Sludges

This is an Executive Summary of a study undertaken by the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) in 2008 to assess the performance of various sludge dewatering techniques. The Summary includes a table which compares the advantages and disadvantages of 15 different dewatering mechanisms. The report concludes that pressure filtration and electrodewatering techniques are the most effective, but may not always be cost effective.
