Vitkovice Power Engineering (VPE) has awarded a sub contract worth $35 million to ABB, which will supply electrical and automation equipment for a 290-MW Yunus Emre thermal power plant located near Eskisehir in northwestern Turkey. VPE is the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the thermal plant, comprising two 145-MW units. Adularya Energy, part of Naksan, is the owner of the Yunus Emre thermal power plant.
