Title: Hach Launches RTC101 P-Module for Phosphorus Control

Hach Companys new RTC101 Phosphorus Control System provides real-time control of chemical dosing that helps maintain consistent phosphorus levels in effluent waters. While some facilities adjust their chemical dose based on flow or by setting a fixed dose rate, being able to quickly adjust for loading changes can significantly lower chemical costs. With inconsistent phosphorus levels in the effluent, the volume of sludge produced can also increase. "Before we installed the RTC101 system, we maintained an average ferric chloride dose of about 12.5 gallons per hour." Rob M., a Utility Foreman from Wisconsin said. "After installation, the average feed dropped to 5.55 gallons per hour, saving us just over 50 percent in ferric chloride costs."
