Title: Cooper City, Florida Upgrades its Existing Lime Softening Water Treatment Plant by Installing Nanofiltration

See page 16. In response to the demand for more and better quality water, Cooper City, Florida upgraded its existing lime softening water treatment plant and installed an advanced water treatment process called Nanofiltration. The principal purpose of the plant was to make use of highly colored and hard ground water. ITT performed a pilot study to demonstrate the capability of an NF system on Cooper City’s wells. The higly successful results of the study tipped the scales in favour of ITT’s solution. A nanofiltration system operates at lower pressures than reverse osmosis providing lower operating cost.
