WEDECO UV systems have been used for many years in fish farming enterprises with the most varied of water qualities. During disinfection with UV light, microorganisms are inactivated by a photochemical reaction between the UVC light and the genetic information carrier (DNA) of the pathogen within seconds. The pathogen cannot multiply any longer and dies. Customer-orientated systems are part of the specification, for example with fully automatic wiping systems for water rich in humins.
