Title: Seven Wastewater Plants Targeted by MEP Because of Discharges

Seven organizations were put on the blacklist and ordered to correct within a specific period of time because they failed to operate wastewater treatment facilities without reasons, operated these facilities with low pollution load in a long run, or discharged effluents against emission standards; if they failed or delayed the corrections, the approval of EIA statements for construction projects that would emit chemical oxygen demand in their whereabouts cities were to be suspended. The seven organizations included Xianyang Road Wastewater Treatment Plant of Tianjin Capital Environmental Protection Group Company Limited, No.3 Wastewater Purification Plant (Yinjiabu Wastewater Treatment Plant) of the Drainage Management Division of Taiyuan City in Shanxi Province, Mulitu Wastewater Treatment Plant of Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia, Jiangdu Yanjianghuitong Water Treatment and Development Co., Ltd. of Yangzhou City in Jiangsu Province, Pengyao Water Affairs Co., Ltd. (Shanan Wastewater Treatment Plant) of Zhoukou City in Henan Province, Fangchenggang municipal wastewater treatment plant in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Midong District Wastewater Treatment Plant of Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
