A strong market for Pete Lien & Sons has been the iron ore business. In 1949, Chuck Lien negotiated with the South Dakota Cement Plant to supply approximately 6,000 tons in 1950. The owners alternately took on duties as cattle ranchers, outdoorsmen, and miners, as they mined iron ore from various sources throughout the Black Hills, always searching for the mother lode of iron ore. They currently work a very productive mine near Nemo, SD, which continues to provide necessary raw materials for the Cement Plant today. Click Here For Complete Product Description Text
