In 1970, Pete Lien purchased a local cement block plant, Dakota Block, located on the southern end of the Lien’s original quarry in Rapid City. This plant now makes concrete block for construction projects throughout the Dakotas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana. Their success has seen the operation diversify into the production of Versa-Lok, KeyStone, and most recently Ready Rock – a 2500 lb block for large retaining walls. Ready Rock is made through a partnership with Birdsall Sand and Gravel. Dakota Block provides the forms and transportation and Birdsall provides the concrete – primarily excess or waste – to make these popular blocks. Click Here For Complete Product Description Text
