Babcock & Wilcox Canada Ltd. (B&W) introduces the TSSG™ boiler with multi-circulation capability for SAGD applications. Designed as a solution for the oil sands market, the TSSG multi-circulation (MC) boiler responds to the needs of the Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) and other in situ processes. The multi-circulation feature of this boiler addresses concerns about the effects of sub ASME quality feedwater on tube deposition by offering a unique design that maximizes thermal efficiency while minimizing the need to clean boiler tubes. TSSG Boiler design maximizes modularization to significantly reduce field man-hours. With the demand and prices for natural gas increasing, the TSSG provides flexibility allowing the user to burn either bitumen or natural gas. The TSSG Boiler's reduced blowdown, increased reliability and reduced energy consumption results in recovering oil at a greater profit. Steam capacity ranges from 380,000 lbs / hr to 1,000,000 lbs / hr. (172 Ton/hr to 454 Ton /hr.).
