Title: Healthway air purifiers ordered by hospitals and nursing homes

The HealthWay Family of Brands, of Pulaski, has seen its business grow by 10 times over the past three months, with more than 20,000 units on back order as of Monday, said Vinny Lobdell, the company president. Orders for HealthWay’s portable and commercial air cleaners have come from hospitals, nursing homes, day care centers, assisted living centers and medical service providers in the U.S. and overseas, he said. Among the recent customers are Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, National Grid and community health centers affiliated with Oswego Hospital and ConnextCare in Oswego County. Orders have come in from the Palm Beach County jail in Florida and hospitals and medical facilities in China, Dubai and Greece. HealthWay’s air purifiers have not been certified by federal regulators to remove the virus that causes COVID-19. But health professionals are encouraged by previous tests that show the equipment removes 99.99 percent of the H1N1 virus, which is smaller than the new coronavirus. Units sell from 500 to $ 50,000.
