Title: Frac sand plants can insure present and future compliance with silica dust using the IAC approach

This recording by John Brown of IAC includes coverage of both present and future silica dust rules which emphasize controls instead of respirators to meet the safety and health related rules. IAC has supplied 45 dryers and dry sand plants for manufactured frac sands. There are typically two baghouses. One is for the dryer exhaust, the other is for fugitive emissions. Both are close to 44,000 cfm. The fugitive dust collector could have as many as 60 pickup points. These include enclosed conveyors, elevators, and other dust generation sources. It is important that a balanced ductwork system extract the correct amount of air at each point. IAC can design and supply the system. They can assist in obtaining the right permits. They are then available to assist in the O&M during the life of the plant
