EPRI conducted a laboratory study in 2010 which showed that injection H202 into the boiler reduced NOx by up to 70% but also converted SO2 to SO3. Shiaw Tseng of Graymont says that NO2 can cause problems in magnesium enhanced lime systems. Mcilvaine speculates that ozone injected ahead of the scrubber would convert the NO2 to N205 and create calcium nitrate. Linde writes about successful creation of calcium nitrate as a byproduct.
