Xylem Inc. has won a contract worth RMB 11.48 million (U.S. $1.87 million) to provide an ozone generation and introduction system to help ensure a safe municipal water supply in the Jinshan district of Shanghai. Xylem will provide its WEDECO-branded ozone generation and introduction system as well as the accompanying accessories. The company will also provide Xylem’s integrated service package, TotalCareSM for the Jinshan First Water Plant, which has a capacity of 400,000 tons of water per day and serves the entire Jinshan district, one of the largest districts in Shanghai. Located on the southwest coast of Shanghai, the Jinshan district has an area of 379 square miles, a 14-mile coastline and a permanent population of 730,000.
